Back From CES, Honeymoon

And miserably behind.  I will officially wuss out and defer to Rodrigo's excellent coverage of CES (great birthday party but you scared me to DEATH on those rides on the top of the Stratosphere, don't do that again!) and will fuss at Fred for his bizarre conference choices and rag on him for not attending 3GSM this year in future posts.  I will say that within the last 10 days I have been on a helicopter inside the Grand Canyon and have learned to scuba dive -- saw a 2.5 meter shark and lived to tell about it -- proving that there is an exciting life beyond email.  Mihai, the photo of me in the wet suit is for you, Dude.

Sometimes You Just Have to Stop Taking Yourself Seriously

After repeating five times "There's no way you are getting me up on that thing," and protesting that it was too late, it was after midnight, didn't we have emails to respond to (and even whipping out her Blackberry with serious intent), I convinced my very patient friend Leila to just get on the damn Ferris Wheel at Concorde.  Perfect timing, the Tour Eiffel did its little "a whole passel of fireflies just landed on me" thing.
